For Employee Purchase

A number of other elective insurance plans are available to regular employees who work at least 30 hours per week, for at least 10 months of the year.  Within the cafeteria plan, cancer and intensive care insurance is offered through Colonial Life Insurance Company.  Colonial Life also offers accident (short-term disability) insurance and additional life insurance.

Biola carries, at no cost to employees, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance that covers an employee 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world, when he/she is on a bona fide business trip.  The indemnity payable for a loss is listed below:

Life $500,000
Both Hands or Both Feet or Sight of Both Eyes $500,000
One Hand and One Foot $500,000
Either Hand or Foot and Sight of One Eye $500,000
Either Hand or Foot $250,000
Sight of One Eye $250,000
