Lost and Found Section 3.36 Dept: Campus Safety Revised: March 5th, 2007

Biola Campus Safety maintains a property management system which tracks found property.  This web-based system tracks each item received by Campus Safety, allowing immediate access to tracking and report information.

Persons seeking information about lost or found property may do so by contacting Campus Safety from any campus phone by dialing zero.  Persons may also speak with Campus Safety personnel at the Campus Safety Administrative Office, located next to the Cafeteria (weekdays, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) or at the Campus Safety Dispatch Center, located in the Metzger lobby, across from the Admissions desk.  Persons may inquire at either of these locations for lost property or to turn in found property.  Any property found on campus should be turned into Campus Safety for documentation and safekeeping.  It will be the responsibility of Campus Safety to locate the rightful owners of lost property.

Departments on campus that receive found property are required to inform Campus Safety so that the property may be properly documented and stored.  Departments may contact Dispatch (0) to arrange to have an officer retrieve property or may release property at the Campus Safety Administrative Office, during regular business hours.

Property remaining unclaimed after a period of 90 days from the date of receipt will become the property of Biola and will be subject to sale, donation, or disposal, in accordance with California Civil Code 2080.
